Huge thanks to Sam Patterson who was our water station helper last weekend. Sam, one of our heart transplant recipients, has been a very committed Team Transplanter for nearly 6 years. Sam is an incredibly hard worker and takes his training very seriously…That may be because he’s seen the carryover benefit to his true passion, playing hockey! In fact, his men’s 50+ team, the Maroon Red Wings, took home the silver medal in last spring’s senior games. Soooo very glad you chose us to do your cross-training with us, Sam…and happy to see it’s paying off!
Kudos to Micah Gwinn, Jonathon Baird, Sam Patterson (yep! Sam’s double dipping today), and Seth Hennessey who all came to practice last night despite the dreary, blustery conditions! I always fear that there will be at least one practice each season where I’ll be the only one who shows up, and last night was that night. Thanks guys for going the extra mile, fighting traffic, and enduring some rather uncomfortable weather conditions all in the name of doing a hill workout at Green Lake! Your company was greatly appreciated!
