Superstars of the Week
• Thanks again to all of the wonderful folks who made our practice happen last weekend…Ron and Ida who managed our home base water station; Peter “THE” Rakita, who was out supplying you with nourishment along the course; Dr. Rakita (The Rakita’s dad), for helping us find a good spot for him to hang out to do that; Michael Gave for helping keep track of folks out on the course while getting a good workout in on his bike; Alvin Valencia for helping with the practice breakdown…AND…of course, a huge thank you to Mikki Dailey for suggesting a new route and doing the leg work to find us a good spot to meet! As with anything new, there are bound to be a few kinks the first time around, but it sounds like everyone really enjoyed the new location! I imagine you’ll be seeing it in our rotation of practices in the future!
• Congrats to living donor, David McCarthy, who represented us up in Vancouver last weekend at the Sun Run! The Sun Run which is a 10k (or 6.2 miles) is the largest road race in Canada! He met his goal of finishing in 45 minutes and proudly sported his Team Transplant Gatorade Green the entire way!
